Fair Oaks Church

Depth comes from being around other Christians, sitting under the word and being in the word (alone time with God). She may read her bible regularly but she is missing a huge piece of the puzzle; I’m reminded of the verse in Hebrews 10:25:
“Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching.”
When my dad was in a coma for six months before his death we were constantly surrounded by our church family. People were praying for us, cooking meals for us, calling us on the phone and visiting us throughout that period of grief and loss. My family and I were so grateful to be a part of our local church and what they did for us during this time. I wonder sometimes what it would have been like if we hadn’t been part of a church family; how would we have survived? God has put ‘The Church’ in place, and it is like a living breathing organism; that is why the church is also referred to as the ‘Body Of Christ’.
Before I moved to America in 2003, I asked my American buddy where his church was, how close he lived to it and if it was possible to meet with the pastor when I arrived. Connecting with a local bible believing church was that important to me even before I moved. I knew that if I could connect there, no mater what I’d face in my move across the world, I would have a support system in place.
Six years later I still call Fair Oaks Church my home church .
How about you, are you connected with a local bible believing church? It’ll change your life.
